Service Project Ideas and Contacts
Involving preschool and early elementary children in community service
takes a lot of research and creativity. Many organizations have
minimum age requirements for working on-site, yet children really
learn the most from hands-on involvement. We hope you’ll benefit
from our thorough study and experience on this topic. We provide
detailed information about hands-on projects for young children as
well as contact information for worthy charities.
In order to provide children with diverse experiences, we recommend
projects benefiting a wide variety of causes, including:
Children’s Issues, Animal Welfare, Homelessness and Poverty,
Community Needs, Hunger, Needs of the Elderly, Health Needs,
Environmental Issues and Fund Raising with Young Children.
If you have a service project idea that suits young children or an
organization that welcomes young volunteers, e-mail us. We’ll spread
the word! We'd also love to see pictures and hear about your
projects.

Our engaging curriculum centers around Biblically-based virtues, such
as individuality, obedience, and kindness. We provide a kid-friendly
definition and fully describe suggested crafts, games, and songs which
clearly illustrate the virtue. We also recommend a Bible verse, Bible
story, and children's picture books for further reinforcement. Of
course, the kids just think they're having fun!
